Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: What type of childcare program does iWHD offer?
A: iWHD offers a structured, play-based childcare program that provides children with a consistent daily routine while allowing them to learn, explore, and develop through play.
Structured care means children follow a predictable daily routine that includes designated times for meals, rest, learning activities, outdoor play, free play, and other age-appropriate experiences. Having a consistent routine helps children know what to expect throughout the day while supporting healthy habits, independence, and transitions.
Play-based learning means children develop important skills through hands-on activities, exploration, creativity, movement, and purposeful play. Activities are designed to support age-appropriate development in areas such as language and communication, fine and gross motor skills, early learning concepts, problem-solving, independence, and social-emotional skills.
Q: What ages are eligible for enrollment at iWHD?
A: iWHD provides childcare for children ages 6 months through 5 years who are not yet enrolled in school. Enrollment is subject to availability and licensed capacity. Please contact iWHD for current openings.
Q: Does iWHD accept Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) payments?
A: At this time, iWHD does not accept CCAP payments.
Q: Does iWHD charge a registration fee?
A: iWHD does not charge a registration fee. However, a tuition deposit is required to secure your child’s enrollment.
Q: What is a Tuition Deposit?
A: A tuition deposit is a required payment used to secure your child’s enrollment and reserve their childcare space. The deposit is non-refundable; however, it will be credited toward your child’s tuition once care begins.
Q: How do I reserve a childcare space for a future start date (months in advance)?
A: A holding fee is non-refundable and non-transferable and is required for each additional month the space is reserved prior to the child’s scheduled start date.
The monthly holding fee will begin the month following payment of the required tuition deposit and will continue for each applicable month the childcare space is reserved until care begins.
For Full-Time Enrollment (4 days), the holding fee is $530 per month, equivalent to 50% of the regular monthly tuition. For Part-Time Enrollment (2–3 days), the holding fee is a flat rate of $400 per month.
Q: How do I schedule a daycare tour?
A: To schedule a daycare tour, please complete our Childcare Inquiry Google Form. Once your inquiry has been reviewed, if we feel your family may be a good fit for our program, we will contact you to schedule a daycare tour within 48 hours.
Q: What happens after the daycare tour?
A: Following the tour, if you wish to proceed with enrollment, you are encouraged to contact iWHD as soon as possible. Availability is limited, and a childcare space cannot be reserved or guaranteed until the required tuition deposit has been received.
If you have any questions or concerns not addressed here, please contact iWHD.
